Leavenworth / Canada

We left Janet's for Leavenworth Wa. Leavenworth is a german town and a great tourist attraction. We spent most of our day there shopping. Lots of different items, overall at a reasonable price. We had lunch and ice-cream. From there we drove through Idaho into Canada. We just drove around taking pictures and out another road that took us to Montana. We didn't have Canadian money and we were not sure of the gas price. Also we were afraid to use our phones or even keep them on since we didn't know if our plan covered out of country. So we decided to just in and out in one day.
Today we are going to Glacier National Park. We are really looking forward to that.

Everett WA

We spent yesterday with my cousins in Everett  Wa. We planned to stop by for a few hours to visit but it just doesn't work that way. Tim is an outdoors man and went fishing the day before so we enjoyed fresh crab and salmon! Talk about good eating, we were thinking about moving this way so we can eat over more often. They have always been great hosts. Gary's first salmon was at Mary's  home and he has been hooked every since. But we can't find it anywhere that is as good.
So after dinner and a nice visit we decided to hit a casino. We claimed it was for the strawberry shortcake. Made with biscuits it was delicious. We lost like $7.00 but had a great time.  In the picture are Janet, Mary, Tim, David, Jason, Uncle Kenneth me, Gary and Zoy (? the dog, not sure how to spell the name).

Seattle WA

We are heading towards Everett Wa which is about 1 1/2 hours from Seattle. My cousins and Uncle live there.
Yesterday we spent the day around Seattle. We started our day at Pike Place Market. Big booming tourist place. They sell fresh fish, fresh flowers, fruit, veggies and anything else your heart desires. It would take all day if not two to visit it all. Everyone and their brother was there. Elbow to elbow, and the price of everything except the flowers were out of sight. After a while there we decided to get away and head for Mt Rainier. Beautiful and relaxing drive. I was able to get a power nap. Once at the mountain we stopped often to take pictures and a couple of short trails. We learned that it is an active volcano. Although sleeping you never know when it will wake up.

A day at Cheryl's

Yesterday we stopped at Cheryl's, Mike's and Brandon's. We had dinner at Humps in Clatskanie OR. where Cheryl works. They have the best food around and also sell some local stuff like soap.
We visited there and meet Mike's sister Linda. Later we went to the fair across the river in WA. Had a great time, shot paints balls and Brandon got on some thing that they say is used to train the astronauts. You stand in it and  secure your feet and something is around the belly and you hold on to handles on the top. Then the guy starts flipping you in all different directions. He really enjoyed that. We had a great time. Then back at the house we visited until 4am! I couldn't believe Gary lasted that long but hung in there with us. We sleep in today until I don't know maybe around noon. They live up a hill and there is a long road to get there. Once there it is so quiet and surrounded with trees. It is very peaceful and  relaxing. We just hung out on the back deck until time to leave for Seattle. The weather is perfect, actually it was a little chilly for us last night.  Thanks Cheryl, Mike and Brandon we had a great time. Love ya!
Tomorrow we plan on touring around Seattle and maybe Mt Rainier NP. Sunday spending a little time with my cousin Janet then Glacier NP.
