California here we come!

We enjoyed our stay very much at Jr and Nancy's. We went to a new cavern, a humming bird sanctuary and antiquing. Had a great time hanging out with the family and of course making my lazy susan. Nancy made me a stained glass tulip a few years ago that I have hanging on my window in the dinning room. That is why I chose tulips for the lazy susan.

Well, really we are in California. We drove here last night and stayed in El Cajon.  Today we are going to the San Diego zoo. the weather so far is very nice. I don't think it will be very hot.
On the drive we took highway 8. Not much to see except dry small mountains. We hit 114 along the way. Lots of sand blowing across the road. We were close to the border of Mexico and went through 4 border patrols. They just slowed us down and let us go through.

I don't know why sometimes I just can't upload any pictures. I will try again when we get into San Diego. Right now I have an attitude so I need to just shut this thing down. ;)
Have a good day.

Almost done

Today my mosaic should be finished. It took some time but I really love it. I have pictures step by step but I am running so slow today I am not posting any pictures at this time.
While we have been here we have gone to lunch to a restaurant called Landmark where they have a singer come in and play. It also collect clowns. The whole restaurant is decorated with clown that have been given to them.
We then toured  a new live cavern. It was beautiful. They won't let you take pictures and you are misted down before you can go in. Then off to a Bisbee that is an antique town. I have been looking for a makeup vanity.  We will be back on the road early in the morning heading for California.
If we get in a better place I will post pictures. Right now we are awful close to Mexico. As we were driving back from Bisbee we could see over to it. There is a blimp that just hangs above looking for people to try to cross over.

Sierra Vista

Yesterday we went to Tombstone AZ. I suppose it is the site of many a gun fight. So you know we had to watch one. It only cost $5.00 and it was worth it. Then we walked the streets and did some window shopping. Everyone there in the town was dressed for the part. Also horse drawn carriage rides
We are now at Jr and Nancy's . We went today to buy a lazy susan so I can put a mosaic on it. If you don't know what that is don't feel bad. I didn't either. Nancy showed me a few she made and I want to make my own. Like everyone else we have visited on this trip she is talented with her hands. So I will post pictures as we go along. I am posting one of hers and the start of mine.

The weather isn't too bad here. Around 100 degrees. In Phoenix it hit 117!

Boy am I messed up

Ok,
I see I have the dates messed up along with the North and South Grand Canyon. I think when I missed posting a day and put two posts in on the same day the dates got messed up. So I am here to try and straighten it out.
Today is Tuesday. We didn't do anything worth writing about. We stayed in Phoenix last night, hung out there awhile. Today we  drove to Casa Grande, hung out a little more, did some laundry and tried to stay cool.
Yesterday was Monday. We did the SOUTHERN side of the Grand Canyon.
The day before was Sunday. We did the NORTHERN side of the Grand Canyon.
Tomorrow is Wednesday: We are going to Jr and Nancy's

So I hope I have it straight now. Some of you know me pretty well and expect this from me. Thats ok.
If I still have it wrong. I know some of you and you will let me know

good night
