Mackinac island and Jennifer

We took the ferry to Mackinac Island Tuesday. Took the inside cabin from St Ignace enjoying the view
from the open window. I am happy we went over. I was raised in Michigan and never visited the place.
It is a fairly large island with lots to do. We started with renting a bicycle built for two and road the coast
line. Mackinac Island does not have any cars so there were lots of bikes on the road. The only
transportation is by horse, bike or foot. We did see an ambulance so in case of an emergency there is
help. After our ride we walked the town .We found a place that rented out horses, which would have been
nice to do but after the bike ride we decided not to. Gary took a picture of UPS delivering with a horse and
buggy. The ferry ride back to St Ignace was rough. The water was choppy. We road on top and decided
it was a fun, maybe a bit scary ride back.
Today we headed south. Jennifer and Darren (daughter and son-in-law) have been at his grandfathers home on the lake and
we decided to see if they were still there. Sure enough they were so we visited for some time.We went to lunch
then back to their place to practice shooting a BB gun. I'm not as good as I thought I was...
We were able to relax on the back porch enjoying the view of the lake.
Tomorrow we plan to head to Frankenmuth Mi, a german town.
