The Mall of America

We spent yesterday driving to Minneapolis MN. Got a place out of town and visited The Mall of America today. As we drove up I thought "looks like any other mall to me" We parked in the parking garage and went in through Nordstroms.   Looked but didn't buy! As we were walking through the mall we noticed a roller coaster. We went over and not only did we see the roller coaster we saw an amusement park! Looked like lots of fun. We ate a the food court and watched the kids and adults having fun. It is much larger inside than it looks from the outside. I bought a sweater and both of us bought a pair of tennis shoes.
From there we drove to Bayfield Wi. It is a nice quiet town on the Superior Lake. It is a tourist town but different because it is so laid back and peaceful. We arrived around dusk so we took some pictures, had dinner and will return tomorrow to take a boat to I think one of the Apostle Islands. We are not sure where the boats goes but we plan to be on one. The Apostle Islands are 22 islands in Lake Superior and was named by the French when they thought there were only 12 . This is a place my 1001 things to do before you die books says we just have to see.  I think we are heading for the upper peninsula of  Mi tomorrow after the boat ride. I would ask Gary but he is out.
Today was Tim's birthday so everyone join me in wishing him a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Love ya!
