Grand Canyon day 2

Down to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon today. We were able to take that helicopter ride we have been looking forward to. It started out fun but about 10 minutes into our 30 minute ride I had motion sickness. I had to just sit still and try not to think about it. There was another family riding with us. A couple from Germany with their daughter. I was hoping Gary was getting the good pictures and we would hurry and turn back. The scene was great. An adventure I am glad we were able to take. Gary really enjoyed it. We flew over land for a couple minutes before we went over the canyon and Gary said the feeling of the earth being removed out from under him is a feeling he will not forget anytime soon.
We left there heading for Phoenix stopping at every overlook to take pictures. We also stopped in Sedona, which is famous for the red stone formations.  We stayed for a few hours, had dinner and visited all the shops. When we arrived in Phoenix I noticed the temperature reading from the car was 103 degrees at 9 pm.  I think the high around the canyon was around 85 so this was a shock. I know they have been talking on the weather that we are hitting record highs. Highs ranging between 113 and 115 but we hadn't seen that yet. I think tomorrow will be our day.
I don't know what we have planed for tomorrow but I don't think it will involve too much outdoors. We plan to be in Sera Vista Wednesday evening to visit my brother and sister-in-law. Jr and Nancy.
